THE KNEE

Physiotherapists regularly see knee and joint sprains. Your physiotherapist is trained to assess and manage your knee joint injury. Pain at the knee may also arise as a result of biomechanical problems and may become apparent as you grow or take up a new sporting or leisure activity. A physiotherapist is able to provide a programme of stretching and strengthening before and after knee surgery (ligament reconstruction, meniscectomy, joint replacment) to optimise recovery.
