Mike Stewart
PRACTICE PRINCIPAL
Mike has over 30 years experience as a physiotherapist. Mike has provided physiotherapy services to North Otago Rugby over 17 years and the Māori All Blacks for 14 years. He is well known around North Otago workplaces as he provides physiotherapy to local industries and workplaces. Mike has completed postgraduate study in Manipulative Physiotherapy, Sports Medicine, Acupuncture, and Occupational Health. Mike's areas of expertise are in treating pain and injury with exercise and manual therapy.
Michelle Sintmaartensdyk
PRACTICE PRINCIPAL
Michelle has many years of experience as a physiotherapist and loves working with clients with more complex and chronic problems. She has completed postgraduate study in Manipulative Physiotherapy, Sports Medicine, Acupuncture, and Pain Management. Michelle has also completed education in breathing disorders. Michelle has a special interest in helping patients with persistent pain conditions.
Duncan Drew
PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Duncan attended Waitaki Boys' High School before graduating in 1998 from Otago University as a physiotherapist. Duncan has a wealth of experience with sports team involvement: he provided physiotherapy services to the Otago Volts Cricket Team for 7 years and has also been involved in several Otago age group teams. Duncan has a special interest in advanced rehabilitation and is also a credentialed McKenzie Therapist. Duncan continues to enjoy playing competitive cricket as well as a number of social sports.
Nicki Newlands
PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Nicola graduated as a physiotherapist in 1994 and worked at Oamaru Physiotherapy for 7 years before leaving to have a family. She then worked in community-based rehabilitation including chronic pain management, concussion management and vocational rehabilitation before returning to the clinic in early 2015. Nicola has post-graduate qualifications in Manipulative Therapy, Sports Medicine, and Occupational Physiotherapy. Nicola has a special interest in helping patients with persistent pain conditions, concussion rehabilitation, and vestibular/dizziness issues. Away from work Nicola helps on the family farm, runs around after two busy kids, and enjoys running and golf.
Lowell Quadros
PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Lowell is an experienced physiotherapist working in the musculoskeletal field dealing with clients in private practice and sport, particularly football. He has completed postgraduate study in Sports Physiotherapy including Manipulative Physiotherapy and utilizes dry needling , exercise prescription and manual therapy as part of his physiotherapy skill set. Lowell has also completed study in strength and conditioning.
Abbey McKenzie
Occupational Therapist
Abbey is an experienced Occupational Therapist specialising in Paediatrics and Vocational services. She works as a contractor for the clinic managing Vocational services with both Mike and Duncan.
Between her busy family life, pediatric and vocational work Abbey is also heavily involved in netball at local and national level coaching the southern blast in the national netball league.
